Alignment is based upon a shared understanding and a common vocabulary. Together we will maintain a Boldly IT glossary of terms to ensure we remain in lockstep, beginning with the following:
Governance Model & Portfolio Governance Structure
Our Governance Model includes a Provost-charged, top-level executive committee, consisting of representatives from the Chancellor’s Senior Leadership Team, to serve as a decision-making body responsible for ensuring the strategic alignment of IT, making appropriate investments, managing risks and fostering IT innovation.
Our Portfolio Governance Structure will create a decision-making framework that organize IT services and resource into strategic portfolios, like Teaching & Learning, enabling coordinated oversight, resource allocation and alignment with campus priorities.
Together this creates a more formal way of working within the IT community.
Online Learning Infrastructure
Online Learning Infrastructure encompasses the best practices, processes and procedures for digital platforms, tools and systems that support content delivery, collaboration, assessment, accessibility and data-driven management for students and instructors.
IT Talent Management Program
Our IT Talent Management Program will encompass recruitment, development, performance management, leadership growth, employee engagement, compensation and workforce planning to attract, retain and optimize talent.
Research Computing Visioning Committee
Charged by the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation, the Research Computing Visioning Committee, comprised of faculty, deans, the NCSA Director and the VPIT/CIO, is charged with developing recommendations for research computing governance, resources and services that ensures campuswide research remains impactful and transformative.
